Helping at risk children around the world heal through music and the arts.

Welcome

Thank you for visiting the Invest in Children Global (IiCG) website. We exist to bring healing and hope to war-torn and traumatized youth around the world.

IiCG typically works with youth ages 12-18 due to the content of our curriculum, but we have also worked with a younger demographic in countries where a caregiver, teacher or youth mentor can help guide the students through the curriculum on an age-appropriate level.

We are dedicated to offering solutions to the problems threatening adolescent's mental and emotional well-being by developing programs that bring rehabilitation and healing.

Latest project

Since the Covid pandemic hit during the first quarter of 2020, our music and art programs in Greece for orphans and refugees was sadly interrupted.

Christos Fousianis, who has assisted us over the years in Greece, continued working with the kids from January-March until shut-downs were put in place to protect citizens at large.  Many of these restrictions are still in place and unfortunately, our programs have since been put on hold.

IiCG's goals for these workshops are to help build resiliency and coping skills to help children heal and learn to thrive within their communities.  While traveling is not possible currently, we do hope to return as soon as it is safe to do so.  We sincerely hope that these youth are practicing the skills they have learned thus far!

Meanwhile, we have been focusing our efforts locally with middle and high school students.  From March-July, we taught music and art classes and camps virtually.  During the summer, we paired our virtual camps with socially-distanced 'art in the park' days.

Since August, we have been working 'in-person', following strict CDC guidelines at a local school. It has been a true joy to see these kids rise above their circumstances and practice resiliency in the face of a global pandemic!  Please stay safe and healthy...and don't forget to wash your hands and wear your masks!  We will get through this together!
